FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH, DAWSON SPRINGS
JOB POSTING FOR PASTOR
First Baptist Church, Dawson Springs is actively seeking a full-time pastor. FBC is in the western part of Kentucky known as the Pennyroyal region and there are near two thousand residents in our town. We have a relatively new campus with our sanctuary completed in 2004 and our life center completed in 2016. We are financially sound and have no debt currently.
Our attendance has suffered the past two years due to COVID and we are looking to grow and want to focus on outreach. Our current average attendance numbers: Sunday morning worship – 100; Sunday school – 80; Wednesday morning adult bible study – 20; Wednesday evening (during the school year) Awana and youth groups – 100; and Thursday evening (during the school year) Centershot – 40.
FBC is a mission minded congregation, and we have a desire to truly live out our vision statement: “We exist to reach the world for Christ by helping people CONNECT with God, GROW in their faith, and SHARE the love of Jesus Christ.” We focused on reaching others through Christ as our community rebuilds after a devasting tornado in December 2021. We are searching for a mission focused pastor that can take the reins for our storm recovery.
Our church website is www.dawsonspringsfbc.com and you can find us on Facebook at Dawson Springs First Baptist Church and on YouTube at FBC Dawson Springs.
