Crossings cancels July camps, makes plans for Renew Weekends in fall

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (KT) – Because of state mandates in dealing with the coronavirus, Crossings will be cancelling its July camp sessions, but are making plans for Renew Weekends this fall for both students and kids.

The board made the decision to cancel the July camps in a meeting last week with the safety of all parties the top priority.

Those who made reservations have several options including transferring deposits to the summer 2021 camp or fall 2020 events, or to donate to Crossings during this difficult time.

As with the June cancellation of camps, Crossings is asking participants to fill out a simple form.

Preparation for fall weekend camp options for both students and kids are under way. More information will be available on what is being called Renew Weekends. Some important notes:

  • Click here to fill out the refund request form. This allows you to decide which options you would like to take advantage of all while allowing Crossings administration to execute that decision in a timely manner.

  • Plans are being made for Renew Weekends this fall for both students and kids. Be on the lookout in the coming days for dates and rates associated with both.

  • Be reminded that registration for camp 2021 will open on June 15. Also know that registration for Renew Weekends will open on July 3.

“Lastly, we know that this situation is not what any of us had planned for this summer, but we can take hope in the fact that God was not surprised by any of this,” said Lance Howerton of Crossings. “We know that God can work in the midst of all of this and we are eager to see what God does through our ministry. As usual we are praying for your ministry and we long to be together again.”
