TOMPKINSVILLE, Ky. (KT) - Kentucky State Police at the Columbia post are asking for the public’s help in tracking down two people wanted for a double murder that took place in Monroe County on Sunday.
The KSP says troopers responded to a home on White Oak Ridge Road in the Fountain Run community, where two men were found dead inside, both with apparent gunshot wounds to the head. The victims were later identified as 20-year-old Trevor Cleary of Tompkinsville and 19-year-old Austin Copas of Fountain Run.
As a result of the investigation, State Police Detective B.J. Burton obtained arrest warrants on two individuals that are believed to have been involved in the double homicide.
Edward Whitledge, 29, of Bakersfield, California is 6-foot-2 and approximately 188 pounds with hazel eyes and brown hair. Whitledge has an active arrest warrant for two counts of murder.
Kayla Spivey, 28, of Hilham, Tennessee, is 5-4 weighing around 145 pounds with brown eyes and red hair. She has an active arrest warrant for two counts of complicity to commit murder.
The KSP says the pair were last seen driving a 2009 Nissan Altima, black in color, with Tennessee license plate DP 68781.
The pair are considered armed and dangerous by the Kentucky State Police. If anyone has any information regarding their whereabouts, they are being asked to contact the Columbia State Police Post at (800) 222-5555, toll-free statewide, or your local law enforcement agency.
The KSP adds do not attempt to approach or apprehend them yourself.
