OPINION: Every Kentucky Baptist has a Call to Answer at REACH

Posted

Not sure if the REACH Evangelism & Missions Conference is for you? Here are just a few reasons why REACH 2021 could become a defining marker in your spiritual journey.

Every follower of Jesus has a “next step of obedience,” and REACH 2021 is designed to help you identify and take that step.
Inspirational worship experiences paired with practical breakouts will encourage and equip Kentucky Baptists towards greater evangelistic fervor and faithfulness however they are currently serving in their churches. But several experiences are uniquely designed to help one explore a call and take a next step towards church planting, campus ministry, missions, or more intentionally engaging your community with the gospel.

REACH is a time for celebrating how God is moving through Kingdom cooperation.
Every step of obedience is worth celebrating as it brings glory to God. Come be inspired by captivating stories of how God is changing lives across the Commonwealth through the cooperative ministries of Kentucky Baptists. Celebrating the “first fruits” from the Gospel to Every Home, how lives are being changed on college campuses, and how people’s lives are being changed by joining God on mission will surely renew the joy of ministry in a difficult season!

One meaningful celebration will highlight the faithfulness of God displayed through Junior Hill, who has served Southern Baptist churches for more than fifty years as a vocational evangelist. During that time, Junior has preached more than 1,800 revivals in local churches telling men, women, boys, & girls how they can be saved. Kentucky Baptists will joyfully commemorate the legacy of this evangelistic leader in memorable fashion.

REACH refocuses energies on fulfilling the Great Commission.
Nothing derails Great Commission momentum any more effectively than distraction, and 2020 was a year full of distractions. However, there is a renewed enthusiasm in 2021 as Kentucky Baptists recognize that within these great challenges are great opportunities to join God in getting the Gospel to Every Home. How can it be done? What does it look like to reengage our communities coming out of a pandemic? How we can we more effectively reach GenZ with the gospel? How can the average church member join God in what He is doing?

Your next step toward discovering and answering that call might be to register for the Reach Evangelism & Mission Conference. I hope to see you there!

ROB PATTERSON is the evangelism team leader for the Kentucky Baptist Convention.
